I mean c’mon, everyone has done some crazy things growing up. Most of us did things we didn’t mediate approximately doing, or we wished we’d had thought approximately them before doing it.
This latest trend is not only weird and dumb, but it’s also hazardous.
Despite this fact, teenagers don’t seem to give much of a f*ck, and delight in decided to not only snort condoms and pull them back their throat but delight in decided to film themselves doing it.
And whether the understanding itself isn’t as dumb as you can’t even imagine, what these kids are not aware of is that by actually snoring a condom, they are inhaling everything sorts of toxic and irritating chemicals into their nasal cavity. These toxic materials are then transported to other parts of the human body. Not to mention the fact that the condom might bag stuck in the nose or throat, blocking your breathing.
But hey, who gives a damn approximately inhaling toxic materials and risking their health right?
The most famed, renowned thing is that things like these, as crazy as possible or as hazardous as possible generate views.
They generate likes. They generate followers.
Because they are as ridiculous as it gets, challenges like this one—the condom snorting challenge—generate revenue for some.
Interestingly, the challenge itself isn’t novel, but it has been around for a couple of years, but only recently has it gained so much popularity.
The dangers of the challenge were explained by an associate professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Bruce Lee.
Not in Bruce Lee as in Lee Jun-fan, the Hong Kong and American actor, film director, martial artist, martial arts instructor, philosopher, and founder of the martial art Jeet Kune achieve.
As Bruce Y. Lee from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health explains in an article by Forbes:
When is using a condom a unsuitable understanding? When you are trying to snort it up your nose and pull it out through your mouth. whether you query, ‘why would anyone ever achieve that’, then you obviously haven’t heard of the ‘Condom Snorting Challenge’.
The condom could easily bag stuck in your nose or your throat, blocking your breathing or causing you to choke.
Even whether you manage to successfully pull the condom out through your mouth, inhaling a condom up your nose would be very uncomfortable and potentially fairly painful. Would it really be worth everything that just to bag more likes and views?”
